(Venezuela) CANTICUM MERÚ
Canticum Merú started its activities in 1995 under the conduction of Irma Conchita Iorio. Its name refers to "Cantos de los Saltos de Agua", in tribute to the Guayana region.
The repertoire is made up of music that includes works of all styles, from the Renaissance to the present, spreading the traditional and contemporary Venezuelan and Latin American choral repertoire.
The choir has performed concerts, participated in important meetings and festivals in Venezuela and abroad and also released the album “Canticum Merú en Vivo”.
They received numerous awards and recognitions in national and international competitions.
